Meet the Architect:

My Story

Dr. Susan Kang is a physical therapist, exercise physiologist, and lifelong athlete who believes that rehab should be as intentional and goal-driven as training.

Born and raised in Queens, Susan earned her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology before going on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her early career spanned everything from exercise stress testing to personal training and sports medicine rehab. This gave her a deep understanding of how to bridge the gap between rehab and performance.

As a former Division II athlete and competitive powerlifter, Susan knows firsthand what it takes, both physically and mentally, to perform at a high level. She’s worked across a wide spectrum of clinical settings, but always found herself drawn to the world of orthopedics, movement, and helping people return to the activities they love.

After witnessing the limitations of the traditional, insurance-based PT model with overcrowded clinics, cookie-cutter treatments, and no room to properly load athletes, she founded Blueprint Performance Physical Therapy to create something better: a 1-on-1, high-quality, performance-based approach for active individuals who want real, lasting results.

Her mission is to help you build a strong foundation, move with purpose, and reclaim ownership over your body, whether you’re returning to sport, chasing a new PR, or training pain-free for life.

Outside of the clinic, you can find her exploring new places with her husband, walking her two dogs, or hunting for the best eats in town.
